Several places in the world are locked down right now due to COVID-19. It is very difficult for you to stay within home for 24 hours. You have lots of works to do but you cannot go outside. You cannot hangout or meet your friends like before. But this time can be utilized wisely. Here are 7 things you should do during home quarantine.
7-8 hours of sleep is essential to remain healthy. Sometimes due to work, you might not get proper sleep. As you are staying at home now, try to sleep sufficiently. Sleep will reduce anxiety and make you more productive. Sleep is also connected to our immune system. So, if you sleep properly, your immune system will remain strong.
2.Exercise and yoga-
Exercise and yoga will keep your body fit. If you don’t have habit of this, try to make exercise and yoga a part of your lifestyle. Try to find some time after waking up and do some cardio, yoga asanas, breathing exercise. These will keep yourself fit and strengthen your immune system.
Beside your physical and mental health, you must take care of your spiritual health. You will be healthy only when your body, mind and spirit will be in harmony. Simple step to do meditation is to sit , closing your eyes and focusing on an object. Try to do this for 5 to 10 minutes and gradually increase it. It will be better if you can make meditation part of your lifestyle.
4.Spending time with your spouse and family-
You remain busy other days due to work. But as you are remaining within your home or working from home, spend time with your spouse and family. You can share your problem with them. It will help you to remain stress free. Beside this, try to understand their problems and solve this. It will help you to create a stronger bond between you and your family members.
5.Do not over think about corona virus-
Outbreak of novel corona virus is of course a crisis you are going through. Take precautionary measures but don’t over think about it. It will cause nocebo effect of corona virus which might be more harmful than the disease itself. For this, reduce watching TV news regarding COVID-19. Watch positive things and read positive news.
Due to your lots of work you might get less time to study books. But you must read books all the life to keep yourself updated. So this is the time to read books and increasing your knowledge. You can read books to upgrade your skill, or learn new things. You can also read literature also. Even when there will not be corona virus panic, try to maintain this abit of reading books.
7.Doing creative things-
Human beings are always creative. But due to work pressure, you might not get opportunity to explore your creativity. So it is the time to explore your creative side. You can start writing, singing , dancing, making videos and doing other creative things. These might change your life in future.
