Can yoga save us from Novel coronavirus?

Novel coronavirus outbreak has triggered an outrage in the world. WHO has declared global health emergency. Almost everyone is panicked, because it is said that there is no medicine for Novel coronavirus attack.

What is Novel coronavirus (nCoV)?

Novel coronavirus is a single stranded RNA coronavirus. It started spreading from Wuhan in China. If someone affected by it, then initially it causes respiratory problems. Later it creates many other problems like organ failure. Many people lost their lives due to this.

Can yoga help us to fight with it?

So far , there is no allopathic treatment has been discovered for nCoV. So it is really a question that can yoga help us to fight with this virus? The answer is –it depends.

There are two situations –(1) You are not affected by this virus , but you are concerned about this , (2) You are already affected by the virus . For the case (1), yoga can of course help you , and for case (2), you should not lose hope .

#Case-(1) You are not affected by this virus , but you are concerned about this-

In this case we should take precautions of cough and cold .This will strengthen your immune system and this will help you to stay fit . For this, you can do below asanas(yoga poses ) and follow the below diet –

How to cure fever at home by yoga?

Vramana pranayama (Breathing exercise wile walking):

  1. Start walking , with 4 steps inhale air and with 4 steps exhale air .
  2. After repeating this 3-4 times , inhale air with 6 steps and exhale air with 6 steps .
  3. Continue it for 4-5 minutes .
  4. it is advised to do this at morning .

Sayan paschimottasana (Seatedforward bent yoga pose):

        1.Sleep with front side upwards .

        2. Bent the upper portion of the body forward , hold right feet by right hand and left feet by left hand .

        3.Touch the knee with forehead .

        4.Sleep again like step one .

Agnisar Kriya :

  1. Sit in Padmasana .
  2. Exhale air and then contract abdomen.
  3. Inhale air and expand abdomen slowly.
  4. Do it at least 10 times .

Diet: It is necessary to consume lots of water . Fruits and fruit juice should be part of your diet. It is better to avoid any kind of meat now.

#Case -(2) You are already affected by the virus –

You must keep in mind every cough and respiratory problem is  not due to Novel coronavirus. But still , in case of any cough and cold , consult doctor and find the reason out as soon as possible . If it is due to nCoV , then don’t panic . Maintain very good diet and follow what doctor is saying . Never let your mind to be weak. You might have noticed that when you suffer from any disease , your mind become weak . Weak mind is one of the major reason for several diseases and even death . So I will recommend you, never ever let your mind to be weak.
