Home remedies of diseases by Yoga

Namaste. Yoga is one of the ancient way to live a healthy life . Here healthy life means a good physical, mental and spiritual health . Unfortunately , with the popularization of Allopathy and some other ways of treatment , yoga lost its past glory .  But still today and forever yoga will remain a way of home remedy of several diseases .

How effective is yoga as home remedy ?

Nowadays , when we fall ill , before going to doctor, we google about the symptoms , remedies of the problem we are suffering from  . Then we go to any doctor and get ourselves cured . But the problem is , it becomes too late sometimes when we go to doctor . Yoga can be used to prevent the disease before occurring  and even after occurring of the disease , we can use yogic methods to cure us . But it is always better to prevent a disease beforehand .

How yoga look into our physical system ?

Every methods of treatment has their own way to look into our physical system . In modern time , doctors know every parts of our anatomy due to advanced technology . But yoga was originated thousands of years ago when there was no such way to learn anatomy in details .But scholars invented their own way to learn human body .  Here are some examples how yoga looks into our physical  system –

  1. Ancient yogis understood that there are several glands in our body . They named those as Byom granthi(Thyroid , parathyroid ,tonsil , salivary gland etc .) ,Vayu granthi (Lungs , heart ,thymus etc ), Agni granthi (Pancreas , adrenal glands etc ) , Varun granthi (Kidney , testis , prostates etc ),Ahang  granthi (Pituitary gland ) etc .
  2. Yogis described different types of winds in our body . Such as Prana Vayu , apana vayu, samana vayu  etc .
  3. They discovered some other elements of body like pitta , sleshma etc .

With this kind of understanding of  human body . Yogis discovered several asana , pranayama etc to prevent and cure several diseases .

Why should we use yoga as home remedy ?

First of all,  yoga is not just a home remedy . It should be  a part of lifestyle . If we include yoga in our day to day life , there will be very less chance of diseases . Yoga increases immunity power within us .Apart from that , if we fall ill , then also we can use some yogic methods to cure us . We should use yoga to prevent and cure disease because –

1.It has very less chance of any side effects

2.It is cost effective .

3.It is easy to learn .

Though there are so many reasons to practice yoga , but we would like you to find those out by practicing yoga .
