Tonsils are two tissues located in our throat .Swollen tonsil tissues are called tonsillitis.Tonsillitis is prevalent among young people. But it can happen at any age. Though tonsillitis is not very dangerous, but it may be dangerous if you do not treat it. But the good thing is ,you can treat tonsillitis at home by yoga. Symptoms, causes, yogic remedies and proper diet for tonsillitis is given below.
You can recognize tonsillitis by the following symptoms-
- Your throat area will face problem while swallowing.
- You can sense problem in hearing and pain in ear area also.
- Your body may be slightly weak and you may feel fatigue and fever.
- Your voice may sound different.
- Nose may be runny.
- Tonsillitis happens when tissue of throat is swollen.
- It may happen due to viral infection.

Tonsillitis can be cured by below yoga asanas and mudra-

- Ardha chakrasana(Half moon yoga pose):
- Bhujangasana(Cobra yoga pose):
- Sayan paschimottasana (Seatedforward bent yoga pose):
Sit straight on yoga mat crossing your legs .Then place two hands in your back and hold one hand with another hand .Bend your body forward and touch the ground with forehead .Breathe normally for one minute. This yoga pose has several benefits. This yoga posture will strengthen your nerves and other glands. Your liver and spleen will get proper shape by practicing yogamudra pose.
Ardha chakrasana(Half moon yoga pose):
Sleep with front side upward on yoga mat. Then bend your both the legs .Place hands besides head .Then lift the body and stay in this position for 1-2 minutes. Breathe normally. Ardha chakra means halfmoon. In this yoga pose yogi looks like half moon. That’s why this yoga pose is known as Ardha chakrasana. This yoga pose will make your spine flexible, which will give you a long lasting youth. It will also give your chest a proper shape. This yoga pose will also help you in case of constipation, and will make you more active.
Bhujangasana(Cobra yoga pose):
Sleep with front side downward on yoga mat. Then place your two hands beside body. Lift the upper portion of the body and stay in this position for 2-3 minutes. Breathe normally. Bhujanga means snake. In this yoga pose, yogi looks like snake. That’s why this yoga pose is called bhujangasana. This yoga pose will make your spine flexible. It will also strengthen your nerves and muscles associated with heart. This yoga pose will give a proper shape to your front muscles.
Sayan paschimottasana (Seatedforward bent yoga pose):
Sleep with front side upwards on yoga mat. Then bend the upper portion of the body forward while exhaling. Hold your right feet by right hand and left feet by left hand .Touch your knee with your forehead. Stay in this position for few seconds. Sleep again like step one while inhaling. This yoga pose makes spine flexible and flexible spine will give you a long lasting youth. Also this yoga pose makes your nerves and glands more active. Apart from these, this yoga posture will also strengthen your several muscles in front and back of your body. It will also help you in case of constipation and will reduce your belly fat.
It will be always better to avoid non-veg and fat rich foods as your diet . Apart from this rest types of foods are good for health in this case. In this time drink slightly warm water.
